As a mom and a banker, I see firsthand how digital tools can make life easier -- not just for me, but for my kids too. Greylock's Digital Banking has rolled out some great new features, and I have already seen them in action in my own household.
Take the Credit Score Tool powered by Savvy Money. My young adult kids are borderline obsessed with their credit scores which I love. Now they can check them anytime, set goals, get new inquiries and new account alerts, and more. It is free, always on, and right there on the dashboard as well as under Financial Wellness in the main navigation. I love that it helps them build healthy financial habits while keeping an eye out for fraud and identity theft.
Then there's Link External Accounts. This is especially helpful when you have a Greylock loan that you want to pay from another financial institution (FI). Simply link that FI to your digital banking with Greylock and transfer from that account to your Greylock loan! Transfers between banks are now quick, simple, and free -- no need to make a special trip to the branch or mail checks. Personally, I've linked all of my external accounts which allows me to see my entire financial picture in one place. I love that.
The Direct Deposit Switch has made updating my direct deposits a cinch! I did not have to chase down forms, contact HR or provide a voided check. With a few clicks under Account Services, I updated my deposits and added a new one too! Simple.
And yes, I finally convinced my kids to step away from Venmo. Greylock now offers Zelle® under Transfer & Pay. It is secure, instant, and all you need is an email or mobile number to pay or request funds from another person. Whether I am paying a friend for dinner or collecting "I.O.U.s" from my kids, it is a win-win. Paying people has never been easier.
I also appreciate the eDocuments feature. As someone who likes things organized, having 14 months of statements, notices, loan bills, and tax documents and more stored digitally is a dream. No more clutter or digging through file folders-- everything is right there when I need it, and I am helping the environment too!
Lastly, the Cards tab in the main navigation has become my go-to. I can Manage My Credit Card, view current activity, balances, see payment due, past statements, and report my card lost or stolen. With Card Controls, I can block/unblock Greylock debit and credit cards, manage card alerts & card controls, request a replacement card, and add travel notices. Greylock's Card Updater feature allows you to update your card details with all your merchants or streaming services at once, saving you the hassle of contacting them individually when your card details have changed. Super cool!
